Assessment Studio
Privacy Policy
Assessment Studio tools generate, review and refine assessment material from content you provide. Use the tools for assessment design and authorised assessment workflows.
Use the right material
Do not submit student records, confidential material or sensitive information unless you have authority to do so.
That includes student names, student numbers, marks, grades, feedback records, disciplinary records, health information, disability information and private institutional documents.
Rubrics is designed for assessment design. Grader and Moderator can involve assessment work, student work, grading material, feedback and moderation records. Only use those tools with material you are authorised to provide.
What we process
Assessment Studio processes the material you enter or upload, including assessment briefs, learning outcomes, criteria, marking instructions, uploaded files, refinement instructions, generated rubrics, student work where authorised, grading outputs, moderation notes, feedback and manual edits.
We use this material to generate, import, refine, grade, moderate, review and export assessment outputs.
Assessment Studio sends submitted material to our server and to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google for AI processing. Submitted material can be processed outside Australia.
For some files, Assessment Studio extracts text or creates a temporary document-search store so the model can use the document properly.
Analytics
Assessment Studio records product analytics so we can see how the preview tools are being used and where they break.
We record things like page views, session ID, device category, selected settings, attachment count, export format, feature actions, timing, error categories, app version and model version.
We filter analytics so they do not store full briefs, uploaded file contents, generated rubric text, criteria, descriptors, prompts, follow-up messages, student work, grading outputs or moderation comments.
Browser storage
Assessment Studio saves working data in your browser: acknowledgement, session ID, visit count, form inputs, generated outputs, saved drafts and follow-up history.
This lets the tools restore your work after refresh or close.
To remove it, clear site data for the relevant product domain.
Logs and security
Our server and hosting provider process standard technical data: IP address, request time, browser headers, error logs, security logs and rate-limit data.
We use this to run the service, diagnose errors and prevent abuse.
Feedback and early access
If you send feedback or request access to Rubrics, Grader, Moderator or another Assessment Studio tool, we collect the details you provide: name, email, role, organisation and message.
We use that information to respond, improve the product and manage preview access.
Service providers
We use service providers for AI processing, hosting, infrastructure, analytics storage, feedback, email and support.
We do not sell user data.
We do not share assessment content with advertisers.
Retention
Local drafts stay in your browser until you clear them.
Product analytics stay on our server for internal review and improvement.
Temporary AI document-search stores expire after a short period.
Server logs, AI provider records, feedback and early-access details are retained according to provider settings and operational needs.
Preview notice
Rubrics is a free public preview from Assessment Studio. Use it for assessment design, not student records. Submitted briefs and files are processed by our server and AI provider to generate a draft rubric.
Responsible use acknowledgement: I understand and agree to use Assessment Studio tools responsibly.
